10:45AM for 11:00AM - St. Sarkis Armenian Church

We start the day at St. Sarkis - the full address is Iverna Gardens, Kensington, London, W8 6TP and a map is shown below.

The service starts at 11:00AM, though we'd recommend you arrive for 10:45AM at the latest to be seated. Parking is a rare commodity in Kensington, but it's close to public transport -  High Street Kensington on the District or Circle lines is your best bet.

If you've not been to an Armenian Christian Orthodox wedding before, then you're in for a treat. There will be chanting, there will be crowns.

Ladies, please make sure your head is covered (as if you've not all bought your hats already) and gents, cover your legs ... and by that we mean wear trousers!

12:00PM - The Wedding Special

At midday, an old 1950's routemaster bus will pick us up from St. Sarkis and drive us all on a scenic trip through London to The Strand. Tickets will be provided by the conductor.

12:30PM - The Savoy

We'll get to The Savoy at around 12:30PM, where there'll be a champagne reception. This will be followed by a 5 course meal, where you'll be treated to the usual set of speeches.

4:30PM - The Wedding Special (part 2)

By 4:30PM, we'll have to be rolled out of The Savoy, getting back onto the Wedding Special bus for a short trip to St. John Street in Farringdon.

5:00PM until late - St. John Restaurant

At 5:00PM, we'll arrive at St. John Restaurant for a toast. Our number of guests will double at 6:00PM when the evening reception begins. A dinner of St. John's legendary nose-to-tail delights will be served at around 7:30PM - lucky you!

The party will go on for the rest of the evening - your best option for homeward-bound travel is cab; but if you're travelling on public transport,  Farringdon station is located nearby. It connects by train (ex-Thameslink) to Kings Cross St. Pancras, and sits on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines.
